Neda has a Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran and a MSc in Computer Engineering from University of British Columbia. She joined Sauder's Marketing PhD program in 2023 with a focus on machine learning applications in quantitative marketing.

Guanzhong has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Math from UNC Chapel Hill, an MA in Economics from Columbia University, and an MS in Marketing from VU Amsterdam. He joined UBC Sauder’s Marketing PhD program in 2021 with a focus on consumer behaviour.

Julie has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the UBC Sauder School of Business. Her broad industry experience includes working as a management consultant at ZS, a demand planner at Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, and the operations manager of a small-scale food producer. Julie joined UBC Sauder’s Marketing PhD program in 2020 with a focus on consumer behaviour.

Xixi has a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science from University of Waterloo and an MSc degree in Statistics from University of British Columbia. She joined UBC Sauder’s Marketing PhD program in quantitative modeling in 2018.

Brooke has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s of Science in Marketing from the University of Saskatchewan. She joined UBC Sauder’s Marketing PhD program in 2023. Her research interests focus on consumer wellbeing, social influences on consumers, and consumers selves and identities.

Lucy has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Accounting from Boston College. After two years of working experience as an auditor at Deloitte, she joined UBC Sauder’s Marketing PhD program in 2021, focusing on consumer behaviour.

Shakti has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Indore and a bachelor's degree from University of Delhi. She joined Sauder's marketing PhD program in 2023 with a focus on consumer behaviour.

Xilin has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a Master’s degree in Marketing from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He joined the PhD program in 2022. He does quantitative marketing research, with a focus on structural models and machine learning applications.

Leyao has a Bachelor's degree from Renmin University of China and a MSc in Business Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She joined Sauder's Marketing PhD program in 2023 with a focus on quantitative marketing.

William has a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Economics, Policy, and Organizations from Carnegie Mellon University. He joined the PhD program in 2022. He is interested in prosocial behavior and consumer judgment and decision making.

Shangwen joined the Marketing PhD program at UBC Sauder in 2019 after getting a bachelor’s degree in psychology. His research delves into attribute framing and linguistic features in marketing communications, with a particular focus on pricing promotions and business-to-investor pitching. He investigates the effectiveness of restricted promotions like capped and threshold promotions and employs automated text analysis to examine costly and costless signals in startup pitches and their influence on investors' decisions. Moreover, he explores methodology issues in digital marketing, currently conducting a review on A/B testing methodologies on social media platforms. He is on the job market in 2024.
