Information systems is the study of the design, implementation, management, and use of information technology applications in organizations. Relatedly, Accounting is the study of external and internal financial reporting systems, and the auditing of those systems.
Finance
UBC's Finance Group ranks among the leading finance groups in the world in terms of both research and teaching. The research interests of the Finance Division cover most major topics and methodologies in financial economics.
Marketing and Behavioural Science
The Marketing and Behavioural Science Division at UBC Sauder School of Business is a recognized leader in Canada in the discipline of marketing. Operations and Logistics
Every organization either manufactures a product, or provides a service, or both. "Operations" refers to the part of the organization that actually produces the product or service, while "logistics" refers to the part of the organization that delivers the product or service to the customer.
Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources
The OBHR Division focuses on many aspects of the employment relationship, including the culture of organizations, managing organizational change, the roles and skills of managers, the development of human resources, labour-management relations, and international human resource management.
