Admission requirements

Meet the requirements

We seek talented, enthusiastic and creative candidates who are committed to a high level of achievement in their academic, personal and professional lives. If this program is the right fit for you, follow the steps below and, you could be turning your passion into a profession and become career-ready in 4.5 years.

Eligibility requirement

Eligible applicants will fall in one of the below categories, for September 2024 entry

First year entry - Canadian and international high school and International Baccalaureate diploma students applying for, and who meet the entry requirements of, an undergraduate degree at UBC’s Vancouver campus listed in the table below.

Second year entry - Current first year student at UBC’s Vancouver campus with a sessional average of minimum 76% enrolled in eligible programs or transfer students from other colleges or universities who are transferring to UBC’s Vancouver campus into second year status.

Third year entry - Current second year student at UBC’s Vancouver campus with a sessional average of minimum 76% enrolled in eligible programs or transfer students from other colleges or universities who are transferring to UBC’s Vancouver campus into third year status.

Eligible undergraduate degrees

Applicants must also be qualified for entry into one of the below faculties or schools on the UBC Vancouver campus:

  • Faculty of Arts (BA, BFA, BMS)
  • Faculty of Forestry (BSNR, BEST, BSCN, BSCW, BSF, BSFS, BUF)
  • Faculty of Land and Food Systems (BSc in Food, Nutrition and Health, Global Resource Systems, Applied Biology, and Food and Resource Economics)
  • Faculty of Science (BSc)
  • School of Kinesiology (BKin)
  • School of Music (BMus)

Please note the UBC Bachelor of International Economics (BIE) from the Vancouver School of Economics and the UBC Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) are NOT eligible Bachelor programs for the B+MM Dual Degree.

Transfer credits/minors

Students are only eligible for the UBC B+MM Dual Degree if they have less than 18 credits in Commerce courses from UBC. Students enrolled in the UBC B+MM program must complete all required courses in order to be eligible to enter the MM portion of the degree and to graduate from the program.

Students with Commerce minors are not eligible for the UBC B+MM Dual Degree.

Transfer students from other colleges or universities are eligible to apply if they are accepted as a 2nd or 3rd year student. Please contact us for more information.
