Simran is a UBC Sauder alumna, holding a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing, and is a Vancouver native. A passionate advocate for both UBC and her hometown, Simran brings firsthand experience of the program in addition to secondhand accounts from her background in Alumni Engagement. Committed to the transformative power of education, Simran believes that universities not only equip students with essential skills but also foster personal growth and development.

I hold a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology from the University of Waterloo and bring over five years of experience in recruitment, client services, and project coordination in higher education and non-profit organizations. At UBC Sauder, I support graduate recruitment initiatives by planning large-scale events, managing CRM processes, and developing procedures to improve team efficiency. My previous experience includes managing post-secondary transfer projects at ONCAT in Toronto and providing student services and consulting support at the University of Waterloo.

With close to three decades of experience helping others unlock their potential, I’ve built my career across education and event management. At UBC Sauder School of Business, I have spent seven years in the Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre, where I led career support for the Master of Management, Bachelor + Master of Management, and Master of Business Analytics programs. Now, as Director of Recruitment, I draw on my diverse experience to help students navigate their educational paths with confidence and clarity.

I’m passionate about building connections and believe in the power of relationships to guide individuals toward their next steps. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and spending quality time with my husband and two kids.
