Application process

We are committed to building a culture of inclusion - one where students’ vision and leadership are celebrated. 

Through our admissions process, we curate a cohort with a variety of viewpoints and academic, professional and personal experiences. We welcome all applications to our B+MM program. In assessing and prioritizing applications and building each cohort, we strive for diversity and assess your candidacy through the following domains:

Your previous education: we examine your area of study and levels of degrees, specialized professional training and certifications attained

Your professional experience: we consider the types of organizations/industries you’ve worked in and the specific roles you’ve held

Your volunteer/community/advocacy/activism experience: we look at the ways in which you have contributed to the betterment of your community and society at large

Your geographic regions of academic and professional experience: We take into account the location in the world where you have studied or worked

Your motivation: We assess your unique contributions, managerial and leadership potential, maturity, ambition, drive, alignment with UBC Sauder values and how realistic your career goals are through your essay questions, resume, professional references and interview

Your program & career knowledge: We assess the depth of your understanding of the program and career to which you aspire.

The UBC B+MM selection process is rigorous. Applicants are carefully selected against competitive requirements to ensure that you learn from peers who have demonstrated vision, leadership and experience.

• 1st year entry & transfer students:
  Applicants are required to submit two applications: one to UBC for admission to a Bachelor’s degree on the UBC Vancouver Campus, and another to UBC Sauder for the UBC B+MM Dual Degree
• 2nd & 3rd year entry:
  If you are a current first or second year UBC student on the Vancouver campus, apply directly to UBC Sauder for the UBC B+MM Dual Degree

For high school students & students wishing to transfer to UBC. To be eligible for the UBC B+MM Dual Degree, you must be accepted into one of the qualifying Bachelor’s degrees offered on the UBC Vancouver campus.

Before you start your application, you are required to create an account. Soon afterwards, you will receive an automated email from us with a link to verify your account. Start your online application

Once you have created an account, you can start a new or continue an existing application. Our online portal will walk you through the entire application journey, including submitting your video essay and more. You can save your progress and continue where you left off at any time. Once we receive your application, including required supporting documents, you will be automatically considered for our merit based scholarships, so we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.

• If your application is successful, you will receive a letter of admission from UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School.
• Accept your offer! Get ready to join the class, starting in the last week of August.
