The UBC Professional MBA (PMBA) program is designed with professionals in mind who want an MBA but don’t want to lose career momentum.
We built the 24-month curriculum to complement your full-time work schedule while still challenging you. Choose the in-person stream (classes every second or third weekend) or the online stream (live classes two evenings a week), and if your circumstances change, you can request to switch streams between courses, subject to availability. Your life isn't static, and your path through the program doesn't have to be either.
To ensure ease of access, exams are administered online.

Professional residencies
The in-person UBC PMBA professional residencies are immersive learning experiences where you'll get to expand your network. The professional residencies will take place in-person for all cohorts.
During the residences, guest speakers and exclusive events will allow you to focus on teamwork, leadership development, and help sharpen your business strategy. This not only means you can pursue a UBC PMBA without taking time out of the workforce, it also means you can apply the knowledge you gain immediately.

Learn the fundamentals of business analytics (BA) and technology and gain a comprehensive introduction to the concepts and techniques of BA, and their applications in the industries (ex. fintech, healthcare, automation, customer analytics, etc.).
Foundations in Accounting II
Build on the skills learned in Foundations in Accounting I and learn the intricacies of managerial accounting.

Examine the supply and demand framework to consider the optimal behaviour of firms and consumers.
