This intensive, recruitment-focused program aims to help UBC Sauder students land coveted brand management positions with top global brands. Professor Tim Silk facilitates the program, which is led by UBC Sauder alumni marketing professionals who have successfully completed it themselves. They’ll share their insights into what it takes to be successful in the interview process and on the job.

The UBC Sauder School of Business is a CFA Institute Program Partner, an internationally recognized designation certifying that the UBC Sauder BCom meets the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge. As a CFA Program Partner, UBC Sauder gives its students the edge they need to pursue this professional designation and careers in positions as financial analysts, portfolio managers, and investment advisors.

Since 2011, the Sauder Executive Mentorship Program (EMP), facilitated by the Commerce Undergraduate Society (CUS), has been dedicated to connecting enthusiastic UBC Sauder students with industry professionals to create meaningful, long-lasting relationships. Every year, EMP strives to create opportunities and events where mentees and mentors can share and learn from each other.

UBC Sauder School of Business LIFT: Kenya (formerly SSE Kenya) challenges UBC Sauder students to apply business concepts and tools in a classroom of aspiring entrepreneurs.

This program will help you explore career opportunities in these areas by pairing you with an industry professional who will help you learn about these career paths and get prepped for the upcoming internship recruitment season.

Whether you're aiming for investment banking, private equity, or other buy-side and sell-side finance fields, the UBC Sauder Financial Modelling & Interview Prep Program (FMIPP) is here to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to ace the hiring process.

Designed to help 2nd-year students in the Early Start to the Finance Option gain early access to competitive finance internships in investment banking.

Admitted students will be included in a resume book and receive structured interview preparation, including technical training, mock interviews with finance professionals, and peer mentorship from upper-year students with experience in IB internships.

The UBC Portfolio Management Foundation (PMF) provides a small group of select BCom students with an experience that provides world-class training in the global capital markets. Through this real-world learning experience, participants learn from and have access to the best investment professionals to prepare for careers in investment banking, research, sales and trading, and money management.

Experience a three to four-month summer internship with a top real estate employer in Vancouver. Along with meaningful work experiences, you will gain mentorship and a better understanding of the real estate industry.

UBC SWIFT is an extracurricular program for BCom students at UBC Sauder that provides top-quality finance training for a more inclusive talent pipeline. Through connections between academics and finance practitioners, students reconcile practical portfolio management with rigorous academic theory.
