Each year in May, a team of Sauder students travels to Nairobi, Kenya, to provide a month-long, in-person business training program. Through hands-on instruction, they equip local entrepreneurs with essential tools and skills to help launch and grow their businesses.
Teaching Component
In 2024, 10 cohorts, with a total of 200+ participants, graduated from the in-person teaching program.
This experience allows students to connect with entrepreneurs and travel members in person.

Learning & Cultural Experiences
On days off from teaching, students visit and engage in activities to discover the local culture. Students tour businesses operated by LIFT graduates, noticing the impact they can make and listening to how the program helped these entrepreneurs operate their businesses.
