How we support students
We offer various services to help you explore career options, build your professional network, develop job search skills, and find opportunities throughout your program:
Career coaching and advising
- Personalized appointments: Book 1:1 virtual or in-person appointments with Career Strategists via COOL throughout the year (even in the summer!) to discuss any career-related topic.
- Drop-in Career Peer Advising: Throughout the term, undergrads can ask our team of senior BComs quick career questions at our booth located just outside the BCC.
Networking and events
- Introductions to the business community: We connect you with business professionals and UBC Sauder alums to help you advance your career and build your network.
- Company events & workshops: Each year, we help facilitate over 400 company recruiting sessions, networking and hiring events, company-led workshops, and more, where you can connect with employers and alums. Register on COOL.
Experiential opportunities
- Job postings: Each year, we post 7,500+ internship and full-time opportunities on COOL from diverse companies interested in hiring UBC Sauder students.
- Work experience & experiential learning: We facilitate hundreds of graduate and undergraduate internships and Co-op work terms annually.
- Mentorship and specialty programs: Learn directly from industry experts and alums. Talk to a Career Strategist to learn about your program’s options.
Career development resources and programming
- COOL: Your all-in-one career platform connects you to job postings, career coaching and advising appointments, company events, career development resources, industry guides, and more. Explore COOL.
- Career development programs and workshops: We offer COMM 202 for BComs, BA 520 for Specialty Masters, and a range of career programming opportunities for MBAs to equip students with crucial career readiness skills and job market knowledge.
