Programs
The UBC Sauder School of Business offers the following programs that prepare graduates for the challenges of tomorrow's business world:
Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
The four-year BCom program provides graduates with the skills to work in a wide variety of disciplines. Students can choose from ten majors, including finance, management information systems, marketing, and urban land economics. Relevant lectures and case studies are used throughout the program to bring today's business issues into the classroom.
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
The 16-month, full-time UBC MBA at UBC Sauder's Robert H. Lee Graduate School offers a uniquely integrated vision. With a focus on experiential learning, global immersion and personalized leadership development you’ll gain confidence to innovate on the world stage. The full-time MBA boasts one of North America's most culturally diverse student bodies, with 55 to 60% of students coming from outside Canada. In 2009, students came from 35 countries, speaking 42 languages. We also offer a 28-month part-time UBC MBA in Vancouver and our 20-month International MBA in Shanghai.
Master of Management
The Master of Management at UBC Sauder's Robert H. Lee Graduate School is a one-year master's degree that provides a general foundation in business and management that is specifically designed for individuals with bachelor's degrees in non-business disciplines.
MSc/PhD
Both the MSc and PhD programs are designed for students who intend to make significant contributions to knowledge in their fields of specialization. Students receive individual attention from the start and are often engaged in joint research with faculty members within one year in their programs. Our PhD graduates go on to professorships at leading universities world-wide as well as positions in government and industry.
Executive Education
Executive Education delivers a full spectrum of learning opportunities, from two- to six-day business management courses to certificates to full degree programs. Partner with UBC Sauder Custom Services to create custom programs for management needs or build leadership capacity with the Accelerated Leadership Program, designed to transform high-potential performers into outstanding leaders. UBC Sauder's Executive Education program is the largest of its kind in Western Canada.
Diploma in Accounting (DAP)
DAP is a program designed to prepare university graduates who have limited training in accounting for entry into a professional designation program. For individuals wanting to broaden their business skills, the program also represents an excellent opportunity for professional development.
Real Estate Division (RED)
RED programs deliver British Columbia's (and much of Canada's) real estate educational programming and include real estate licensing courses; an Urban Land Economics Diploma Program; a nationally-recognized Certificate Program in Real Property Assessment; and a national online education program for Real Property Appraisal. In addition, RED provides a variety of online continuing professional development courses for the real estate industry.
Research
The UBC Sauder School of Business leads Canadian business schools with over $1.3 million in grants each year since 1995. The impact of this research on management thinking has resulted in 400 research papers and 20 books since 1995 alone. The UBC Sauder School of Business includes a number of research which serve to promote the research environment, and as homes for major research grants and projects. View our research centres.

Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre
The Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre at UBC Sauder is a vibrant hub for career-related activities. We are committed to helping students develop life-long career management skills and career success. To help students choose their best career, career managers personally work with students and provide advice and train students in a comprehensive variety of services, including career workshops and seminars, career fairs and networking events, online job postings, and connections to the business community and alumni.
David Lam Library
The David Lam Library's collection - both print and online - covers all facets of business management and administration and is an important resource for students and academic researchers as well as for members of the business community.
International opportunities
The UBC Sauder School of Business offers students outstanding learning experiences at world renowned business schools in over 20 countries. These international partnerships provide intercultural learning, networking and language studies for both graduate and undergraduate students. Each year, students enhance their education by studying abroad.
The UBC Sauder School of Business also actively explores other international opportunities, develops projects in various countries such as management education programs at partner schools, joint research activities, and executive training.
Accreditation
UBC Sauder is accredited by AACSB, which provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. AACSB Accreditation is known worldwide as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.
