Meet our graduate student ambassadors
Alexandra Salazar Parraguez - UBC MM
My name is Alexandra, and I am a curious and friendly person deeply interested in today's complex world. To pursue this interest, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City. However, I was eager to explore additional fields for further development, leading me to pursue a Master of Management to enhance my knowledge in business. It has been a rewarding journey to come to Vancouver for this purpose and to call Canada my home. I truly enjoy long walks, exploring new cities, learning languages, reading, and meeting new people!
Beth Tsz Huen Bai - UBC MBAN
Hi everyone! This is Beth! After earning my bachelor’s degree from the City University of Hong Kong and spending two years working in mainland China, I discovered my passion for data analysis while at an ed-tech company. This experience led me to the Master of Business Analytics program, where I've found the journey both rewarding and adventurous. I'm here to help with any questions you might have about the program or campus life. Feel free to connect for insights or discussions!
Chetan Sarda - UBC MBAN
Hello! I am Chetan, an MBAN student at UBC. I specialize in digitalization and data science, with a background in engineering. My professional journey has taken me through roles as a drivetrain engineer, Six Sigma facilitator, and digitalization consultant across India, Nigeria, and Canada. These unique experiences among varied individuals have shaped my perspective to embrace diversity and support DEI, which is one of the main reasons I chose UBC. Sauder has provided me with a nurturing and encouraging environment for learning and personal growth. As an ambassador, my goal is to improve myself and empower everyone while making meaningful contributions to the community.
Christian Zalli - UBC MBA
I am a two-time UBC alumnus and current MBA student, having graduated from the UBC faculty of Political Science and the Peter A. Allard School of Law. I am passionate about helping students through the rewarding but challenging process of coming to university (for a first, second, or even third degree!) and finding new students to share this community and experience with. I look forward to connecting with students from around the world and here at home, and making their connection with UBC that much more memorable and meaningful. When not in class, I'm on the golf course or finding a new cafe!
Ethan Lee - UBC MM
Hi, I am Ethan, a University of Toronto alumna from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. After completing my HBSc in Neuroscience and Psychology, I started my career in marketing research and commercial banking operations. I quickly realized that I wanted to advance my knowledge of business fundamentals and develop a “business mindset”, so I decided to pivot towards a Master of Management at UBC Sauder! In my free time, you can usually see me working on my bench press at the gym, exploring Vancouver’s vibrant food scene, or practicing piano with my two cats yelling in the background.
Irene Wang - UBC MBA
Hi, I'm Irene, originally from Taiwan. In my academic and professional journey, I've lived in various places, including Hong Kong, Germany, and Taiwan. I worked as a flight attendant in aviation, as well as roles in digital marketing and supply chain project management in the tech and manufacturing industry. Exploration has always been a driving force for me. I chose UBC for the beautiful weather and the diverse, supportive community. I'm loving my time here, and I hope you will do too!
Michelle Siaril - UBC MBA
I am a food-tech entrepreneur with experience in retail corporate finance. Originally from Jakarta, I have had the fortune of living in Melbourne and Shanghai for my previous studies. I chose to pursue an MBA to explore exciting opportunities in finance and selected Sauder for its reputation on the West Coast. An avid food reviewer (I have a food account), I've been exploring the beautiful city of Vancouver through culinary hopping with my MBA friends. In my spare time, I practice calisthenics, yoga, and pilates, though I'm aiming to do more hikes in the future.
Nidhi Kamal Mohan - UBC MBA
Hello there! I'm Nidhi, a wellness entrepreneur and educator with a foundation in food and chemical engineering. My enthusiasm for well-being planted the seed for my wellness venture. A lifelong learner, I also cherish teaching yoga. In Sauder's MBA program, I'm leveraging knowledge from world-class faculty and connecting with a global alumni network to refine my business acumen and foster innovation in the health sector. I'm keen to share insights from this transformative journey. Beyond the classroom, my dedication to wellness manifests in a disciplined fitness regime, skiing adventures, and the tranquil rhythm of hiking BC's rugged trails.
Percy Chukwudi - UBC MBAN
My journey, which includes an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and an MSc in Information Technology, has evolved into a passion for using analytics to drive business decisions and innovation. I chose Sauder because the curriculum perfectly blends business and analytical approaches to solving real-world problems. Although I am seldom on the pitch, I consider myself one of the best non-pro centre-backs (CBs) you will find - I derive so much fun from playing and watching football. Coming to Vancouver, I fell in love with one exercise I always hated: hiking.

Lucky for you, the business development team at the Hari B. Varshney Business Career Centre work every year to build industry relationships that encourage employers across Vancouver, Canada and internationally to create opportunities for students to work with them. Also, before the internship period, students will work with their assigned career coach to map out an effective plan for their internship job search based on the post-program goals as well as prior training and experience.
-
Due to the intensive nature of our full-time programs, students are strongly advised not to work outside of the allocated internship periods. That said, if you absolutely need to work during the program, we recommend you wait until after you have completed Periods 1 & 2, this way you can get used to the school schedule and workload.
