Strategy Implementation that Works

Bring strategy to life with a well-executed game plan

Former title: Strategy Playbook Act Two

Implementation is the most critical factor for the success of any strategic endeavor. But it is also where things are most likely to derail. How can managers move beyond planning, to convert what’s “on paper” into impactful, real-world action?

This program integrates the best practices of strategic thinking, planning and execution into a fully aligned game plan. Connect strategic vision to actions that create long-term value. Pinpoint where you need to go, and develop doable options for getting there. Craft and sell the plan for change. Arm your team with the knowledge, tools and guidelines they need to execute strategic goals. Establish winning conditions to infuse strategy through every corner of the organization.

Note: Building an Effective Strategy covers the fundamental concepts, tools and practices of strategy, while Strategy Implementation that Works looks at strategy execution. There is no overlap between them, but together they form a natural progression of learning.

How you will learn

You will complete either a strategic plan for your own organization, or one of three scenarios reflecting your interests (Public Sector, Private Sector, Not-For-Profit) and present it to the group for constructive feedback. You will also receive written feedback on your plan from the program leader.
