Conflict Management Strategies

Make conflict resolution part of a healthy work environment

Differences between people in the workplace are inevitable. Left unresolved, they can drain the productive energies of individuals, teams and even entire organizations. But conflict is not inherently corrosive. It can be part of a healthy work environment provided it is constructively addressed and skillfully managed.

This program empowers current and aspiring leaders to navigate and resolve conflicts effectively. Gain key insights on the drivers of workplace conflict. Assess your personal approach to conflict, and adapt your conflict response style to multiple interpersonal scenarios. Practice skills for deescalating existing problems and pre-empting potential ones. Communicate to build understanding and rapport. Keep teams on track working towards a common goal. Forge better relationships at work, and in life.

The conflict resolution, communication and problem-solving capabilities you’ll learn here will prove indispensable to the health and productivity of your organization. It’s a skillset that every leader or future leader needs to have!

Note: this program focuses on the individual dynamics of conflict resolution, including conflicts between managers and workers and between co-workers. It does not cover legal or contractual conflicts (e.g. collective bargaining) or broader societal conflicts like aboriginal land claims.
