The UBC Sauder School of Business is pleased to offer a number of financial aid, support and assistance options available to both domestic and international UBC JD/MBA students. We encourage you to thoroughly research all options available to you.
UBC Sauder scholarships and awards
To qualify for the following scholarships, you will need to meet the merit requirements and apply by the UBC JD/MBA application deadlines outlined below. All applicants are automatically considered for the following scholarships upon application submission, so we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
Note: Normally, these scholarships are paid out using the following payment schedule:
- Under $1,000 - paid out entirely in one term
- $1,000 - $5,999 - paid out in two terms (equal instalments)
- $6,000 or greater - paid out over the three terms of the year (33.3% in September, 33.3% January, and 33.4% in May)
Global Impact Entrance Scholarship
Awarded to exceptional candidates who demonstrate a global mindset, work and leadership experience, and outstanding academic achievement. This scholarship recognizes applicants whose experiences, accomplishments, and future potential position them to make a meaningful contribution to the UBC MBA and the broader business community.

Rising Leaders Entrance Scholarship
Awarded to exceptional candidates who have demonstrated a strong commitment to creating positive change through their academic, professional, or community experiences. This scholarship recognizes applicants whose achievements, leadership, and future ambitions reflect the potential to make a meaningful impact in business and society, and with excellent references.

Women in Business Leadership Scholarships
For top applicants with a demonstrated passion and commitment towards achieving gender parity and supporting women in business leadership.

Responsible Business & Community Spirit Scholarship
For high-achieving JD/MBA applicants with a strong background in sustainability, social entrepreneurship and commitment to social causes within their communities.

Dean’s Entrance Scholarship
This prestigious, merit-based award is open to Canadian citizens, permanent resident and international applicants who embody a strong alignment with UBC Sauder values of rigour, respect and responsibility. Applicants must have an exceptional track record of academic excellence, community involvement and business leadership skills.

$20,000 - $60,000 for international applicants
$20,000 - Full Tuition* for Canadian citizens and permanent resident applicants - Application deadline:
January 8, 2027 for international applicants
