See how fresh perspectives drive better operations in the UBC MBA and PMBA.

In this session with Professor Chris Ryan, we will explore how breakthroughs in operational improvement are often achieved through a simple shift in perspective, and how experiences in the MBA and PMBA classrooms create opportunities for students to rethink challenges and approaches.

This event is offered in both in-person and virtual formats. The in-person session will take place on campus at the Henry Angus Building. For those attending online, the Zoom link will be shared on the morning of the event.

Chris Ryan

Chris Ryan

Professor, Operations and Logistics Division, UBC Sauder School of Business

Chris Ryan is a professor at UBC Sauder in the Operations and Logistics division, where he teaches courses on operations and supply chain management for MBA students, business analytics for undergraduates, and teaching pedagogy for PhD students. He earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from UBC and completed his PhD at UBC Sauder. Before rejoining UBC Sauder in 2019, he spent nine years teaching at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His primary research interests include small business operations, the history of management thought, and business pedagogy.
