The Climate Storytelling Studio is a new initiative by the Centre for Climate and Business Solutions and Learning Services at UBC Sauder. This student-run multimedia studio focuses on amplifying climate action through podcasts, videos, and live discussions that explore sustainable business practices, industry challenges, and innovative solutions.

We’re inviting students to submit their ideas for a 10-episode podcast series. Whether it's a narrative series or interviews with thought leaders, we’re looking for stories that dive into the intersection of climate and business. Selected ideas will be produced and fully supported by the Centre, including connecting you with industry leaders and planning the content, and helping with distribution through the Centre's platforms.

Some ideas to get you started:

  • Circular Economy in Action: Interviews with small businesses in BC leading in circular economy practices.
  • From Idea to Impact: Follow the journey of a climate entrepreneur from concept to success.
  • How to Decarbonize Your Business: Educational series on steps businesses can take to reduce their carbon footprint.
  • Women in Climate Leadership: Conversations with female leaders driving change in sustainability.
  • Tech for Climate: Exploring groundbreaking technologies like carbon capture and renewable energy solutions.

How to Apply

Submit a video of yourself (maximum 5 minutes) talking about the podcast you’d like to produce. You can be as creative as you like—share an example or simply record your ideas. We just want to hear from you!
