Scholarships, awards and financial assistance
UBC Sauder School of Business is proud to award entrance scholarships to 25-35% of every class. Our vision is to attract a balanced mix of top talent from Canada and abroad. We look for students who not only demonstrate the highest standard of academic excellence, but also commitment and dedication to their career ambitions. Applicants are assessed on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) work experience, academic achievement, business drive and the quality of the application essays.
UBC Sauder scholarships and awards
To qualify for the following scholarships, you will need to meet the merit requirements and apply by the UBC MBAN application deadlines outlined below. All applicants are automatically considered for the following scholarships upon application submission, so we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
Note: Normally, these scholarships are paid out using the following payment schedule:
- Under $1,000 - paid out entirely in one term
- $1,000 - $5,999 - paid out in two terms (equal instalments)
- $6,000 or greater - paid out over the three terms of the year (33.3% in September, 33.3% January, and 33.4% in May)
Dean’s Entrance Scholarship
The Dean’s Entrance Scholarship recognizes outstanding applicants who apply by the Early Bird deadline. Awards are granted to candidates who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, strong career potential, and alignment with the values of UBC Sauder.

Women in Analytics Leadership Scholarship
The Women in Analytics Leadership Scholarship recognizes outstanding applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, strong career potential, and a commitment to advancing gender diversity in analytics, data, or STEM-related fields. The award supports emerging women leaders who aspire to shape the future of analytics-driven organizations.

Indigenous Leadership in Analytics

Dean's Excellence in Diversity Award
Up to four awards for incoming MBAN applicants who are a member of an underrepresented community and equity deserving. Scholars will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment to building a culture of inclusion in their communities and excellence in academic and professional settings.
