Profile
Tina Hu
Tina is a UBC alumna with a master’s degree in Economics, bringing experience across banking, executive education, corporate operations, and public service. Prior to joining the Robert H. Lee Graduate School, she worked in retail banking across British Columbia and Ontario, as well as in venture capital in Beijing with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, her work has centered on public service and municipal policy, where she is driven by a passion for building more equitable, diverse, and inclusive communities. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Vancouver with her family.
Manaal Zar
Manaal Zar is a full-time MBA student at UBC Sauder specializing in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Prior to joining the program, she worked closely with her family business, an experience that inspired her to further develop her business knowledge and leadership skills through an MBA. Having lived in Hong Kong, India, and Malaysia before returning to Vancouver, Manaal enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and sharing her experience at UBC Sauder. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, exploring the city, and discovering her latest favourite TV series.
Nkem Okwuchi
Nkem Okwuchi is a full-time MBA student at UBC Sauder with 10 years of experience in finance and accounting across the technology, consulting, financial services, and energy sectors. She joined UBC Sauder to broaden her business perspective and strengthen her ability to make thoughtful, impact-driven decisions in an increasingly complex global environment. Passionate about supporting others through the UBC MBA journey, Nkem is committed to helping prospective students navigate career transitions, cultural shifts, and balancing family commitments. She looks forward to connecting and sharing her experience within the UBC Sauder community.
Tori Lunn
Tori Lunn is an MBA student at UBC Sauder pursuing a dual focus in Entrepreneurship and Climate, with a professional background in operations across both the private and public sectors. Drawn to UBC Sauder’s intersection of innovation and sustainability, Tori is currently collaborating with engineering researchers to help bring emerging technologies to market. She will also be participating in a Global Immersion Experience (GIE) project in Cape Town, South Africa. Tori is excited to share her UBC MBA journey and highlight the unique experiential learning opportunities available at Sauder. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time on the water and participating in ocean sports.
Yukari Inoue
Yukari Inoue is an MBA student at UBC Sauder with more than a decade of experience in finance and accounting across Japan and North America within the mining industry. Her professional background has provided a strong foundation in business strategy, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration. Through the UBC MBA program, Yukari is focused on developing data-driven decision-making skills and gaining a broader perspective on driving business growth and innovation. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys hiking with her dog, climbing, and exploring Vancouver’s plant-based food scene.
