Zimt Chocolates
Emma Smith, Owner & Founder
BCOM 2011
Zimt Chocolates was founded in 2011 by UBC Sauder graduate Emma Smith, just as she was finishing up her final year on campus. Since learning about inequalities along the supply chain at a young age, she vowed to only generate revenue in the most ethical way possible. And that young mind came up with—chocolate. Today, Zimt is distributed across Western Canada and in select locations in the US and Eastern Canada. The goal is to learn together how we can make the world's situation a little less dire, while uplifting those most vulnerable members with whom we share our planet.
